Awesome GW Char Progress Tracker June 5, 2007

Ok, this is just the bee’s knees. You know how people say on achat “Does anybody need <mission> bonus?” and people don’t know, have to switch chars to check or whatever?

I got frustrated by that last night (about myself, I couldn’t remember where all my chars were in Nightfall) and did a google search to see if anybody had done something cool to address the problem. And somebody had.

Check out Rohars Roughnecks’ Character Progress Tracker.

This tool is really easy to use and fits what I was looking for exactly. You create a tracker for each of your chars, and then you fill out that character’s accomplishments. Then, you can view the “My Missions” page to find out at a glance which character needs to complete a mission or bonus.

The tool tracks all three campaigns in both Normal & Hard Mode, as well as tracking Vanquisher for the explorables in all three campaigns. You can view the Missions page in both text mode and a cool looking Shield Mode (which shows the swords like the maps in the game) and you can even save the results as an XML spreadsheet. Conveniently (and cleverly) the mission names on the list are links to the Wiki page about the mission, so you can get that last minute Master’s strategy once you’ve figured out which character you’re bringing to the mission.

For the statistics geeks amongst you (raises hand) there’s a Tracker Stats page that shows what percentage of the characters being tracked by the tool (in total for the site) have completed each goal.

It’s easy to set up and update, and solves a complex problem very neatly. Enjoy!

  1. Wow! Thanks for the kind words! I’m hoping to get Elite skill tracking added at some point in the future too! (Imaging floating your mouse over the shield to be notified which elite skills you still need to cap in that mission 😉

  3. I’ve just added open date tracking to the treasure chests.

  4. Now you can track your Elite Skills as well. Happy Capping!
