Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning UW June 7, 2007

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our amazon army will descend into the cold embrace of Grenth as we invade the Underworld.

Normally, our international gathering of girl gamers would be precluded from choosing this destination for our weekly expedition, but thanks to the powerful new magic of Passage Scrolls, our multi-region teams will be able to work together in the noble cause of restoring the monuments of Grenth, which have been overrun by the foul minions of Dhuum. Oh, and on a side note, gathering loot like Eternal Shields, Storm Bows, and Globs of Ectoplasm.

To participate, your character needs to be ascended or equivalent. For Tyrian born characters, that means having completed the three missions and final challenge in the Crystal Desert. Canthan born characters will need to be Weh no Su. Elonian born characters need to have completed the quest Hunted! Tyrians can achieve ascension by becoming Weh no Su in Cantha, and Canthans can do the same by completing the ascension trials in the Crystal Desert, and Elonians may ascend by either path as well. Only Elonians can achieve the benefits of ascension via the Hunted! quest.

Bring whichever character you have that is qualified to enter the Realms of the Gods, we’ll form teams from what’s available, any profession is welcome. We’ll try to make sure that teams go in with enough healing and damage.

We’ll gather this Sunday, June 10th, in our usual meeting place, The Temple of the Ages, International District 1 (by the statue of Dwayna) and at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT, 6:00 PM BST). Conveniently, ToA is the entry point for the Realms of the Gods in Tyria, so we’ll enter UW from there.

Female players only, please. (Females playing male characters are welcome.) Of course there’s no way for us to check, but please respect the women who wish to gather for this event to play with other female gamers.

Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning Gyala Hatchery May 3, 2007

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our vengeful valkyries will descend upon the Jade Sea, and march with the Luxons across the frozen waters from Gyala Hatchery to the Leviathan Pits.

While it’s true that this event’s sponsoring guild, Girl Power, leads a Kurzick alliance, we cannot stand idly by and condone the senseless killing of cute little baby turtles! Therefore, we will join Argo and his Turtle Clan as they defend the young ones along the path to their southern stronghold.

We will be doing the mission for Master’s Reward, using the “run around the back and clear the path first” method to increase our odds of protecting all five young turtles. Bring whichever character you want, we’ll form teams from what’s available, any profession is welcome. We’ll try to make sure that teams go in with enough healing and damage.

We’ll gather this Sunday, May 6th, in our usual meeting place, The Temple of the Ages, International District 1 (by the statue of Dwayna) and at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT, 6:00PM BST). We’ll form teams there and then map travel to Gyala Hatchery.

Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwnt Rotscale

Filed under: Girl Power Hour — Robin @ 1:33 pm

I had a really busy week last week and didn’t get around to making my normal announcement for Girl Power Hour. However, I was very pleased that our policy of meeting in the same place and time every week paid off, and enough girls for two full teams showed up in ToA ID1 at the appointed time, and we went off into Majesty’s Rest and slew the undead dragon menace, Rotscale.

Thanks to all the girls who showed up even though there was no announcement!

Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning The Black Curtain (HM) April 21, 2007

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our amazon army will cleanse the area around our sacred Temple, by vanquishing The Black Curtain in the newly available Hard Mode.

Clearing the area will be progress towards the new Vanquisher title track. Also, there are 6-7 bosses in the area (depending on if we have somebody with the quest The False Gods active in the party) and each boss is an opportunity for the new Elite Tomes to drop.

Please make sure that you have unlocked Prophecies Hard Mode on your account by logging in once with a character who has completed Hell’s Precipice. Once it’s unlocked, any level 20 character on your account can participate as long as they can get to the Temple of Ages. Bring whichever character you want, we’ll form teams from what’s available, any profession is welcome. We’ll try to make sure that teams go in with enough healing and damage.

We’ll gather this Sunday, April 22nd, in our usual meeting place, The Temple of the Ages, International District 1 (by the statue of Dwayna) and at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT, 6:00PM BST). The Black Curtain is right outside the door.

Female players only, please. (Females playing male characters are welcome.) Of course there’s no way for us to check, but please respect the women who wish to gather for this event to play with other female gamers.

Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning Vizunah Square April 13, 2007

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our vengeful valkyries will descend upon the crowded streets of the Canthan supercity, Kaineng, and aid our intrepid allies Mhenlo and Master Togo in fending off the hordes of Afflicted afflicting Vizunah Square.

This mission will allow two teams of women to enter the mission together, which we’ll do by having a team in V Square Local and a team in V Square Foreign and executing a “button spike” to ensure that we end up with each other in the mission.

Please make sure that you have the outposts mapped before we gather. Non-Canthans can map V Square Local by completing the Minister Cho’s Estate and Zen Diajun low level missions and then joining a party doing the second part of the quest Mayhem in the Market (look for advertisements in the Marketplace, and ensure that the Canthan with the quest is the party leader). Canthans wanting to map V Square Foreign need to have completed the Nahpui Quarter mission, after which the gates will be open for you to walk in from Bukdek Byway.

We’ll be gunning for the Master’s reward, so this isn’t a good time to play cartographer. Bring whichever character you want, we’ll form teams from what’s available, any profession is welcome. We’ll try to make sure that teams go in with enough healing and damage.

We’ll gather this Sunday, April 15th, in our usual meeting place, The Temple of the Ages, International District 1 (by the statue of Dwayna) and at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT, 6:00PM BST). We’ll form teams there, then map travel to Vizunah Square.

Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning Dreadnaught’s Drift April 5, 2007

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our amazon army will venture into the seldom-seen icy wastes of Dreadnaught’s Drift, where we will cleanse of it evil monsters and make the way safe for travellers. We will purify Dwayna’s statue by defeating the fearsome wurm Maw, The Mountain Heart, which infests Her grounds.

We will enter Dreadnaught’s Drift from the south, via Snake Dance, which we will enter from Grenth’s Footprint since Deldrimor War Camp is the nearest outpost to our goal. Please fight or get a run to War Camp prior to the event. Runs are usually available in Camp Rankor.

This will be a good opportunity for cartographers to explore a difficult region. It’s also a prime opportunity to capture one of the more difficult to obtain Tyrian elites, Maw’s Feast of Corruption.

Bring whichever character you want, we’ll form teams from what’s available, any profession is welcome. We’ll try to make sure that teams go in with enough healing and damage.

We’ll gather this Sunday, April 7th, in our usual meeting place, The Temple of the Ages, International District 1 (by the statue of Dwayna) and at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT, 6:00PM BST). Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning Thunderhead Keep March 29, 2007

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our vengeful valkyries will shatter the cold, jade hearts of the Mursaat, blacken the White Mantle, turn the tide of the dwarven civil war, and avenge Prince Rurik as we retake Thunderhead Keep.

It doesn’t matter how you get your character to Thunderhead Keep, either via the mission path or getting run there. What does matter is that your armor be infused, or the Mursaat’s Spectral Agony will eat you alive. Please make sure you’ve taken care of this ahead of the event – and remember armor infusion is per piece of armor, not per character, so if you’ve gotten pretty new armor from another campaign for your old Prophecies character, it has to be infused if you’re going to be taking on Mursaat. The fastest way to get this done is to get an infuse run at Iron Mines.

We will be doing the bonus, it’s much more fun that way. The mopping up after retaking the keep is a good opportunity for cartographers to explore, as well. Bring whichever character you want, we’ll form teams from what’s available, any profession is welcome. We’ll try to make sure that teams go in with enough healing and damage.

We’ll gather this Sunday, April 1st, in our usual meeting place, The Temple of the Ages, International District 1 (by the statue of Dwayna) and at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT, 6:00PM BST). We’ll form teams there, then map travel to THK.

Female players only, please. (Females playing male characters are welcome.) Of course there’s no way for us to check, but please respect the women who wish to gather for this event to play with other female gamers.

Attention girl gamers! You’re invited!

This Sunday, our amazon army will cast light against the shadows and smite the undead as we take up Balthazar‘s pennant and march into the dread Fissure of Woe.

Normally, our international gathering of girl gamers would be precluded from choosing this destination for our weekly expedition, but thanks to the FoW and UW Open Access weekend event, our multi-region teams will be able to work together in the noble cause of defeating Menzies (not to mention gathering loot like Chaos Axes, Shadow Blades, and Obsidian Shards).

To participate, your character needs to be ascended. For Tyrian born characters, that means having completed the three missions and final challenge in the Crystal Desert. Canthan born characters will need to be Weh no Su. Elonian born characters need to have completed the quest Hunted! Girl Power Hour – Girls Pwning Sorrow’s Furnace March 14, 2007

Attention girl gamers – you’re invited!

This Sunday, we Valkyries shall strike fear into the cold hearts of the Stone Summit dwarves as we descend on Sorrow’s Furnace.

If you haven’t mapped the staging outpost for Sorrow’s Furnace, Deldrimor War Camp, it’s an easily henchable walk from Droknar’s Forge through Talus Chute to Camp Rankor, north through Snake Dance, turning east at the sign to Grenth’s Footprint, where signs will point the way north and east a short distance to DWC. (You can also hench from Granite Citadel through Spearhead Peak to Grenth’s Footprint, but while the distance is shorter you’ll face some pretty concentrated mobs that way.)

Canthan and Elonian women who haven’t yet mapped Droknar’s Forge in Tyria will find the shortest path is get a run from Lion’s Arch to Beacon’s Perch, and then get a run to the Forge from there (about 3K per person on average, lately largely Dervish runners.) Runs to DWC are regularly available from Camp Rankor, as well.

Bring whatever character you have that can get there. We won’t be trying to force together any sort of farming team builds. We’ll try to make sure all the teams leave with enough healing and damage along for the ride, but it’s all about the fun and we can make any combination of characters work.

We will meet this Sunday, March 18th, in our regular meeting place, the Temple of the Ages, International District 1, at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT).

Female players only, please. (Females playing male characters are welcome.) Of course there’s no way for us to check, but please respect the women who wish to gather for this event to play with other female gamers.
